SeedarUK – mobile grain drier technical review

SeedarUK – mobile grain drier technical review

Throughout the year Seedarorganise Technical Reviews for its engineering staff and accredited service engineers from around the UK. The reviews offer an opportunity to focus on a specific aspects of the grain driers. They allow those supporting Seedargrain driers to extend their technical knowledge and understanding. It also presents the opportunity for practical experience to be shared within the network of Seedarengineers.

Yesterday saw the most recent technical review held at Seedar’s main UK depot near Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Early October is a particularly good time to have a reveiw as the harvest workload is still fresh in the mind.

The review was attended by Giovanni Marcolongo, the designer of the Seedargrain drier and also Elena Riolfi the designer of the automatic control panels for the grain driers. The day focused on the operation, diagnostics and servicing of the automatic control panels. Having the designer of the automatic system guiding those present through the functionality and programming of the panels was invaluable.

There was then the opportunity for the design engineers to learn from the practical experience of the UK engineers. The manufacturer highly values the feedback received from those with on-farm experience of assembling, commissioning, operating and servicing Seedargrain driers. There were in-depth discussions about ways to improve certain aspects of the drier to maximise performance, reliability and durability. There was also a focus on increasing the functionality of the automatic control panels. Many of the points discussed were raised by Seedarcustomers with our engineers through the season and most will result in improvements to future machines.

The technical reviews are part of Seedar’s committment to constantly improving the quality of our grain drier. This close working relationship between the Seedarmanufacturer and SeedarUK allows us to continue to offer the market leading product and service. We believe that through our close co-operation with our customers and our manufacturer Seedarcan be the most innovative and responsive company to the demands of the UK agricultural industry.
